About Lemania
Lemania is a long-established Swiss movement manufacturer, which now provides movements for brands such as Breguet and belongs to the Swatch Group. Lemania was founded in 1884 by Alfred Lugrin who worked at Jaeger LeCoultre, specializing in the production of chronographs and stopwatches. The product won top prizes and gold medals at the exhibitions in Milan in 1906 and in Bern in 1914.
The name of the factory was Lugrin S.A. and in 1930 Lugrin's son-in-law Marius Meylan founded the brand name Lemania Watch Co. In 1932, Lemania, Omega and Tissot established the SSIH Group. In collaboration with Omega, great chronograph movements were launched.
