How to wind a ERNEST BOREL watch?
About ERNEST BOREL
In 1856, the "Kingdom of Watches" in Neuchat, Switzerland, Berliget's young Zuers Borel started his long career in watchmaking with the belief in creating perfect classics. In 1859, he founded the Borel and Courvoisier company with his brother-in-law Paul Gao Huashi.
Borel and Covas knew from the very beginning the authority of the Neuchâtel Observatory for timer standards. If the watch designed and manufactured can be recognized by it, it will undoubtedly mean a global sales pass for watch products. . Foresight into the future, time has become an eternal career pursuit. In 1866, an impressive achievement finally came to fruition. The clocks they produced lived up to expectations and won the first place in the observatory competition, which has since established the solid status of this rare and famous watch. As a result of hard work, a series of honors followed: in 1876, in Philadelphia, the product was awarded a certificate of excellence; in 1878, in Paris, France, it was awarded the only precious gold medal awarded to the Swiss watch industry. In the course of the company's development, an innovation that was revolutionary at the time was born: a crown and a pusher or bolt to wind a clock, an invention that included a new winding system and a new method of setting the time. This patent has epoch-making significance in the development history of the watch industry.
In 1860, the company exported the first batch of watches to Uruguay, and the products went to South America; in 1867, they began to advance to Spain, and the sales network expanded rapidly. In 1894, Gao Huashi retired in old age, and Ernest Borel, the son of Jules Borel, took over, and the company changed its name to Borel-Courvoisier. Four years later, Ernest Borel cooperated with Adamir Debrot, who was in charge of technology, and changed the company's name again to Ernest Borel and Cie.
